All your ‘Last Night of the Proms’ favourites fight for top billing at the Midsummer Concert at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
The fabulous 40-piece Symphonica Tywi return to the Garden on Saturday June 21st for their annual concert at 7.30pm.
The event – entitled ‘A Night At The Proms’ – will be a special celebration of British tradition with patriotic music from all round the United Kingdom and takes place in the stunning surrounds of Lord Foster’s Great Glasshouse.
Conductor Mike Cottam said: “It will be a fantastic celebration of music from these isles with all the ‘Proms’ classics such as Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia, Nimrod – off of Elgar’s Enigma Variations, ‘ I Vow To Thee My Country’, Welsh national anthem, and lots more.”
So, grab a flag , pick up a picnic and get along to the Great Glasshouse on Midsummer’s night for ‘A Night At The Proms’.
Tickets are £12 (£10 for Garden members) and the concert starts at 7.30pm
