National Assembly Member Mohammad Asghar has called on the Assembly Government to promote film locations, including those used for Doctor Who and Torchwood, to help encourage tourists to come to Wales.
The Shadow Minister for Heritage noted that a “number of landmarks across south Wales have been used as locations for Doctor Who and Torchwood”, highlighting “the immense popularity of these programmes”.
He added: “The Assembly Government and Visit Wales should look to … promote Wales to the programmes’ fan base, helping to ensure that these film locations are attracting maximum numbers of tourists from across the UK and abroad”.
