Public Exhibition – South Sebastopol

During November, Torfaen residents are being invited to attend public exhibitions which will outline the plans for the development of the South Sebastopol site by the applicant Asbri Planning Ltd.

The public exhibitions are organised by Asbri Planning Ltd on behalf of a consortium of developers will take place at venues close to the proposed site.

The public will be able to view the proposed masterplan, which the applicants are submitting to “refresh” their original planning application.

The application proposes the development of 1200 houses on the site and includes a village centre adjacent to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. The proposals also include play areas and formal sports fields and includes detail on the future management of the land not included in the development.

Residents are invited to visit the exhibitions at the following locations:

Monday, 8th November at:

Glenside Community Hall, Meadowbrook Avenue, Pontnewydd 2pm – 8pm The lobby area outside the council chamber, Pontypool: 9am – 12noon (check this is not county hall)

Tuesday, 9th November at:

The former Upper Cwmbran infants school, Upper Cwmbran 2pm – 8pm.

Wednesday, 10th November at:

The bowls pavilion, Panteg Park, Sebastopol 2pm – 8pm.

Representatives from the applicants will be available to discuss any issues or concerns the public may wish to raise on the proposed development.

Comment sheets will be available for completion by members of the public.
