Clwyd West AM Darren Millar is holding a public meeting next week for Kinmel Bay residents to discuss their recent flooding experiences and raise their concerns with those responsible for flood risk management in the area.

Parts of Kinmel Bay were affected by flooding in December last year following a storm surge which saw properties flooded and people evacuated from homes and a local caravan park.

The meeting will take place next Friday (February 21st) at 6pm at Kinmel Bay Church on St Asaph Avenue and representatives from Conwy County Borough Council and Natural Resources Wales have confirmed their attendance.

Darren, who will be chairing the meeting, said:

“This is an opportunity for residents to come along and share their experiences and have their say on an issue which is currently dominating the headlines.

“Kinmel Bay has been badly hit by flooding on several occasions over the years and with all the flooding we have seen across North Wales in recent months, understandably residents are concerned. I therefore urge them to come along to this meeting and make their concerns known.

“It is vital that lessons are learnt from recent experiences.”
