Prestatyn Library was an exciting place to be on World Book Day (Thursday 3 March), as pupils from Ysgol Bodnant, Ysgol Melyd and Ysgol Penmorfa took centre stage to share their recent artistic experiences.
Pupils from Year 3 of the three schools each hosted a week-long residency with artists Rhi Moxon and Sophie McKeand. Sophie worked with the pupils to create a series of poems; these were then illustrated and printed onto fabric by pupils working with Rhi.
The work produced was displayed at Prestatyn Library on World Book Day, with representatives from each school reading the poetry written and exhibiting their work for all to appreciate.
The residency was organized by Denbighshire Arts Service, in collaboration with the Arts Services of Flintshire and Wrexham County Councils and was funded by Arts Council of Wales and the three counties.
The work will be exhibited in Wrexham Library from 17 May to 30 June.
