One of Carmarthenshire’s most dynamic businesses has received a prestigious international quality award.
EMC Services, the electrical contractors firm based in picturesque Llanarthne in the Towy Valley, has been awarded a landmark ISO certificate.
The quality management award recognises the firm’s commitment to ‘an exceptional quality of service’.
“It is a very notable achievement for EMC and a real feather in the cap of what is a growing business,” said EMC director Neil Alexander.
“It is a reflection of the importance we put into quality management in a huge range of different projects.
“We are very proud to receive the ISO 9001 certificate and it is a testament to the hard work of every member of staff in EMC.”
Mr Alexander, 41, said it was important to note that only an estimated three per cent of UK businesses could boast one of the ISO certificates.
He added: “We have always been proud of the service we offer our clients. Now, with the award of ISO 9001, this has been confirmed by outside experts who are accustomed to judging service on a daily basis in a wide variety of trades and industries.”
Neil Baker, who undertook the assessment for CQS Certified Quality Systems, paid particular tribute to “the investment in people and training that enables EMC to provide an efficient service to their customers”.
Mr Alexander, who founded EMC in 2001, said he was very proud of his firm’s progressive attitude to business.
He added: “I regard the ISO as the minimum standard we should be achieving; we have an ongoing aim to continue to exceed both usual standards and the expectations of our clients.
“In the current climate, the delivery of quality services is vitally important in sustaining long-term business success. Clients expect high quality work and the accreditation is an acknowledgement of our adherence to strict quality standards.”
