Commenting on the publication of the latest unemployment figures for Wales, Nick Ramsay AM, Shadow Minister for Business, said:
“These are welcome figures showing another fall in unemployment in Wales.
“Following the IMF’s decision to increase the UK’s growth forecast, it is clear that under Conservative leadership the UK is the fastest growing economy in Europe.
“Carwyn Jones’ Labour Government must start playing its part in securing economic growth by abolishing business rates for small businesses, regenerating our high streets and creating the conditions in which the private sector can prosper.
“Perhaps in his Joint Ministerial Committee meetings with other UK leaders, Carwyn Jones will see the action being taken in other parts of the UK to secure economic growth and be shamed into taking measures to support the Welsh economy.”
