Commenting on reports of job losses at Kraft in Chirk, Nick Ramsay AM, Shadow Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology & Science, said:
“Just weeks before Christmas, this is devastating news for the employees affected and their families.
“The Welsh Government needs to offer support to those workers to help them find alternative employment or seek training opportunities.”
Mark Isherwood AM, Shadow Minister for North Wales, added, “In the light of the fragile nature of the North Wales economy, Welsh Labour Ministers need to accelerate their plans to stimulate growth in the Welsh economy.”
Antoinette Sandbach, North Wales AM, said, “The Welsh Labour Government should now prioritise the introduction of Enterprise Zones and cuts to business rates to help create the conditions for economic growth and job creation.”
