Carers throughout the County Borough now have access to a new and updated guide to the many services on offer.
Following public demand, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has been working with a number of partner organisations to once again produce the much sought after edition of the Rhondda Cynon Taf A – Z Guide for Carers.
The Council’s Cabinet Member for Health Social Care and Well-Being, Councillor Mike Forey launched the new Carers Guide during Carers Right Day.
The 2010-11 guide, which is designed for carers and their families is a single, coherent information source, which can be used to direct people to information on the range of services available for carers in the County Borough, including:
- Health issues,
- Help in and around the home,
- Housing,
- Benefits,
- Legal rights,
- Support services
- Personal safety, and
- Community transport.
Cllr Mike Forey, said: “I know from my personal contact with residents how well used this publication is throughout the County Borough. I am pleased to announce that the new updated edition of this booklet is now available.
“The booklet provides accurate and up to date information targeted at carers in Rhondda Cynon Taf and will enable them to find information about services easily and quickly. I know that it provides a great benefit to them and helps the communication of the many services available to support carers throughout RCT.”
