Police are reappealing for information following an assault that occurred in Caerphilly late Thursday June 24th or the early hours of the morning on Friday 25th June.
Police were called after a 32 year old man was found on a pathway near to Addison Way Graig-y-Rhacca with serious head injuries. He remains in the University of Wales Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The assault is believed to have occurred in the area of Caerphilly Castle in Caerphilly town centre sometime between 10pm and 1am.
Two local men aged 20 and 21 were arrested in connection with the incident and two further men aged 21 and 24 have also since been arrested. All four men have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police have released CCTV stills of two men they believe may have witnessed the incident and could hold vital information that could assist the police enquiry.
