Gwent Police is re-appealing for information to locate 39 year old Neil Fry who absconded from HMP Prescoed on Saturday 23rd January.
He was convicted of burglary and theft at Cardiff Crown Court on 22nd February 2007. He is not a registered sex offender.
Neil Fry is described as white, approximately 5’9″ tall, of a slim build, with short fair hair.
It is believed there may be a potential risk due to the fact that he is no longer in the custody of the prison service.
Gwent Police has activated its operational plan with the aim of locating him and the prison is co-operating fully with us.
Neil Fry has contacts in Cardiff, Bristol and Gloucestershire areas.
Members of the public are advised not to approach him if they see him and if they have any information concerning his whereabouts to call Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
