Coleg Gwent offers a full range of Higher Education courses, many in conjunction with UHOVI (Universities Heads of the Valleys Institute), and is having an Information Evening at Pontypool Campus about courses on offer from September.
Courses are offered in Business & Management, Computing & IT, Construction & Engineering, Sport, Media & Creative Industries, Teacher Training and Access to Higher Education.
There’s an Information Evening at Coleg Gwent’s Pontypool Campus on Thursday 19 May 5.30-8.00pm. Anyone considering doing a HE course can speak to staff to find out which courses are suitable for them and take a look at the facilities.
Angela Lewis, Coleg Gwent’s Associate Director of HE in FE Partnership says: “The majority of our HE courses are developed in conjunction with businesses in the sector and many of them combine academic study with workplace or work related learning. This means they provide students with the practical skills needed in industry, preparing them for their career in response to demand from employers.
“Working with UHOVI means we can make sure that higher level courses are accessible, which is ideal for those living in the area that want to study at a higher level, but don’t want to incur the financial costs associated with living away from home, as well as those already working who want to further their sector knowledge and experience.”

UHOVI is a strategic partnership between the University of Glamorgan and University of Wales, Newport.
