After many years of planning and fund raising the Canolfan Dewi Sant Centre in South Parade, Pensarn, Abergele is up and running.
On Monday 7th March the Bishop of St Asaph, The Rt Revd Dr Gregory Cameron, is opening this brand new resource which will then be available for use by the local community.
Comprising a large hall, bistro, meeting rooms and a worship area as well as various utilities, the Canolfan Dewi Sant Centre provides innovative facilities for a variety of community activities. This eco-friendly building can be booked by groups or individuals by contacting the booking secretary, Mrs Barbara Pilley, on 01745 823534.
There are opportunities for local people to explore the new Centre on Monday 7th March 6.30pm—8.30pm, Tuesday 8th March 11.00am—3.00pm and Friday 11th March 11.00am—3.00pm.
Funded by the Big Lottery, the Welsh Assembly’s Community Activities and Facilities Programme, WREN and other grant making bodies, as well as substantial local fund raising activities, the Centre provides a much needed facility for the local community.
