Are you having a new sofa or TV for Christmas?
What will you do with your old items?
You can recycle your unwanted items at the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Docks Way, or you can arrange a special collection from the council.
A small charge applies for special collections, so please call 01633 656656 for more information.
Or have you thought about donating your items to a charity?
Newport City Council is partnered with Newport Wastesavers who run a community furniture project. The aim of the project is to work in the community, for the community, to reduce poverty in Newport.
The project collects unwanted furniture and electrical items donated from residents in Newport. These items are then redistributed to the public with heavy discounts given to those on low incomes.
Small contributions are welcome to cover costs of transporting the items from your home.
For more information on items that Wastesavers can collect and items that are available to purchase, please call 01633 216855 or email [email protected]
The showroom is located at 52/53 Commercial Road, Pillgwenlly, Newport and is open from 9am – 5pm Monday – Saturday
