Recycling and refuse services in the north of Denbighshire are now virtually back to normal as the slightly warmer weather is helping the situation, particularly nearer the coast. Residents should set out their recycling and refuse as normal on the usual day this week.
Collections of grey wheely-bins that were disrupted last week in Bodelwyddan, Rhuddlan and St Asaph have now been completed and teams will be tackling Dyserth today. A similar catch-up programme is also in place for recycling collections that could not be completed last week.
Inland and to the south of Denbighshire the warmer weather has had less of an impact so far. Whilst collections in the larger communities are virtually back to normal, services in small areas are still being disrupted. The Council is still having difficulty making collections in some rural areas and smaller communities, particularly those on higher ground or where there are steep gradients.
Despite this, all residents are asked to set their recycling and refuse out on their usual collection day. The Council will return to try and collect any recycling or refuse that still cannot be collected on the appointed day.
All four Recycling Parks (Denbigh, Prestatyn, Rhyl and Ruthin) are all open for business as usual and the Saturday recycling service at Corwen is scheduled for Saturday 16th January.
