Flintshire’s four Bridges Fitness Suites are being refurbished with new CV (cardio vascular) and Resistance equipment manufactured by Technogym.
The equipment has the latest entertainment package allowing users to plug in their ear phones and watch a freeview channel of their choice or plug in an iPod and listen to their own music, watch TV programmes that have recorded from BBC iPlayer or even play games while working out. This will provide a much more entertaining way to train.
Bridges are also introducing several new pieces of equipment:
The Vario offers a total body workout and allowing users to step, walk or run. The variety of exercises that can be performed at the users own natural stride make the Vario a unique and innovative piece of equipment.
The Wave offers a three dimensional, high calorie, deep muscle toning workout focusing on the core stabiliser muscles.
The Radiant is a resistance machine that offers free movement strength training and a large variety of exercises can be performed on the machine.
The centres in Mold Leisure Centre, Deeside Leisure Centre, The Pavilion in Flint and Holywell Leisure Centre will temporarily close on a staggered basis while the refurbishments take place. All customers can however train at any of the sites whilst their normal site is closed.
Once a member has been inducted into one Bridges Suite they can use them all.
During this refurbishment at least two other Bridges Suites in the county will be open and available for use.
