Bridgend County Borough Council and Pencoed Town Council have announced that work has begun on the production of a regeneration strategy and action plan for Pencoed.
The first stage has seen the appointment of Hyder Consulting to gather the views of local residents and community organisations over a wide range of issues.
Deputy Leader David Sage said: “We want people to let us know their thoughts on Pencoed – what is good, what is bad and what needs improving in the area.
“The regeneration strategy and action plan will seek to deliver a long-term sustainable future for Pencoed.”
“This will be the first step in the process that will ultimately determine what regeneration projects will take place in Pencoed and how the area could look in the future.
“Whether it is a social, economic or environmental issue, I urge local people to take part so all your views can be taken into account.
More details about the consultation and how you can take part will be announced soon. In the meantime, if you wish to find out more about the strategy or give your views, contact Owen Davies and Geoff Webber at Hyder Consulting on (029) 2092 5139 or email [email protected]
