The annual electoral canvass starts in September.
Every household in Torfaen will receive an electoral registration form asking for the names of all eligible electors living there. Names entered on the electoral register will be eligible to vote at forthcoming referendums and elections.
The forms will be pre-printed with the details of electors currently registered at each property. If the details are incorrect, amend and return the form. If the information is correct, residents can register by using telephone/internet (free) or SMS (small charge). All details will be clearly displayed on the form.
You can register to vote if you are 16 years old or over, and a British, Irish, Commonwealth or European Union citizen.
