There’s just one week to go to register your vote for next month’s referendum on law making powers for the Welsh Assembly.
Poll cards are being sent out ahead of the March 3rd vote and potential electors have until Wednesday 16th February to register.
In order to vote in the referendum an individual’s name needs to be on the electoral register.
At present the Assembly has powers to make laws in 20 subject areas and in each subject area, the Assembly can make laws on some matters, but not on others.
The March 3rd referendum will ask voters whether the Assembly should now to be able to make laws on all matters in the 20 subject areas it has powers for.
Every household in Wales has been sent a booklet, explaining what the issues are on which voters will have their say. This was sent by the Electoral Commission, the independent body responsible for the running of the referendum. The booklet is also available online at www.aboutmyvote.com.
