Gwenda Thomas, when out campaigning in the Swansea and Amman valleys, has been made aware of the problems which have arisen due to the changes in the bus services provided by First Cymru.
Gwenda said: ‘These bus service changes have had a detrimental effect on the transport infrastructure of the Swansea and Amman valleys, and have caused great distress and disruption for the people involved. After being made aware of these problems, I immediately contacted First Cymru and Neath Port Talbot Council. Assurances have been given that every effort will be made to re-instate a proper service, but I will be closely monitoring the situation to see that it is resolved, and, if the problems continue, I will seek to put more pressure on the relevant bodies’.
