Cllr Andrew Morgan, Cabinet Member for Customer Care and Highways, said: “This is important renewal and repair work in Mountain Ash.

“As a result of the ongoing regeneration of the town, new road surfaces were laid which, unfortunately, failed in certain parts of Oxford Street.

“While this repair work is taking place, we have taken the opportunity to complete other in another part of Oxford Road to minimise disruption. Residents and traderss may remember previous repair works to the top surface of the tarmac, which has now resulted in a need for us to strengthen the base of the road.

“We have to get this work to the road done and, as a result, there will be closures. We know this will cause inconvenience, but we urge motorists and passengers to bear with us as we work on their behalf. I also urge them to make contact if there are any issues or concerns.”
