Road Safety Magic Show

Flintshire County Council’s Road Safety Unit has been visiting Flintshire’s primary schools, to teach children the importance of being safe on the roads.

The children are taught the important messages of road safety, including Stop-Look-Listen-Think! They are also taught about understanding traffic, making decisions, finding safe places to cross and using pedestrian and pelican crossings.

The show is performed by Ricard Rozel, who is a highly acclaimed international magician, who also worked for over 25 years as a Senior Road Safety Officer in Yorkshire. Richard combines his unique talents to present an amazing new concept in Road Safety education for all primary school children. The presentation has been carefully researched and designed to achieve optimum impact and to ensure vital messages are long remembered.

Councillor Bernie Attridge, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment, said:

“The show has now been delivered to nearly all Flintshire primary schools over the past eight years and over 15,000 children have had the opportunity to enjoy, take part and be reminded of the dangers when near roads. Evaluations have proved that the children are retaining the important messages from this show. It is hugely important to keep reminding children about the dangers they face when crossing the road.”
