Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery at a launderette in Johnstown yesterday evening (Tuesday 3 November).
At approx. 6:30pm a robbery occurred at the launderette on Maelor Road whereby two men – one of them armed with a large knife, entered the premises and stole a cashbox.
The men were both wearing hi-visibility jackets and had their faces covered with what was believed to be balaclavas.
They ran out of the premises towards the general direction of the Bromfield Road area of Johnstown.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
The box that was stolen contained a small amount of cash.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
House to house enquiries have been carried out in the area and police are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area of Maelor Road to contact officers at Wrexham CID on 101, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
