Romans in Rhyl

A new exhibition on the Romans launches the New Year at Rhyl Museum.

With the renovations to the library have come new exhibitions to the museum.  The Roman Pottery exhibition is the first of this year’s temporary exhibitions.

Not only is it of interest to those who want to learn about the Romans, it is also local – the pottery was discovered at the Roman bathhouse in Prestatyn.  Most pieces are around 1800 years old!

Later exhibitions include an archaeology exhibition in association with the National Museum in Cardiff, one on local sporting heroes, and also a community exhibition staged by Rhyl Youth Action Group.

Permanent displays include the Archaeology of Denbighshire, Rhyl at War and more on the Prestatyn bathhouse.

For more information on these exhibitions, telephone Denbighshire Heritage service o 01824 708223 or e-mail [email protected].
