If you are thinking of celebrating with your neighbours and holding a royal wedding street party then now is the time to start planning.
The royal wedding takes place on Friday 29 April and if you want to hold a street party to celebrate then you must apply to Newport City Council.
Street parties have a long history and are a great British tradition. Application forms are available on Newport City Council’s website or email [email protected] and a form will be sent to you.
All forms must be completed and submitted to the Street Works section at the council by Friday 1 April. You will hear back from the council within 10 days about whether your application has been granted.
