Young rugby fans can now get tips from the top as the search for the next generation of Welsh internationals continues.
Swansea Council has linked-up with the high-flying Ospreys to organise coaching sessions for children aged five to seven at Active Swansea leisure centres across the city.
The courses start from the week beginning Monday April 19 and last for ten weeks.
The fundamentals of agility, balance and co-ordination are all included on the programme as well as an emphasis on fun, teamwork and fair play.
Ospreys stars will make appearances at the end of each course and all participants will be signposted to their local team once they’ve completed the sessions.
Jason Lewis, Ospreys Community Manager, said: “The Ospreys are delighted to be working in partnership with Swansea Council at the Active Swansea leisure centre sites.
“These courses will complement the work of the Welsh Rugby Union and Ospreys development staff by giving five to seven-year-olds olds an ideal introduction to rugby.
“We plan to work with all of Swansea’s rugby clubs to ensure there are exit routes from these courses directly into long-term opportunities for rugby participation within the community.”
