Ruthin Leisure Centre Fun Day

denbighshireRuthin Leisure Centre has undergone a major transformation, and Denbighshire County Council are celebrating this milestone by arranging a fun day on 28th September 10am – 3pm.

The redevelopment boasts a full size all weather pitch, a technogym fitness suite, new reception area and new changing rooms.

The Fun Day promises to be fun-filled with activities for all ages and abilities, giving a taster of the new facilities on site. Activities include; face painting, fitness challenges, swimming, junior activities, mini fitness sessions, Tegan toy library and more.

Jamie Groves, Denbighshire’s Head of Communication, Marketing and Leisure, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase the great work that’s gone on at the leisure centre to improve the facilities there.

“Time and time again you hear of Councils considering closing leisure centres  as they can be vulnerable at times of austerity.  In Denbighshire, we are bucking that trend, as we see clear benefits to investing in our leisure offer. Not only does it benefit people’s health and well-being, but there is also a clear link with our work in social care and education.

“This is very much a facility for local people and we want people to come and help us celebrate the work that’s gone on there. A great day out for the whole family.”
