Work is due to commence shortly on resurfacing two streets in Ruthin town centre.
Dog Lane and Record Street will be closed from Sunday, 11 September to facilitate these works, although access to properties will be maintained wherever possible.
To minimise disruption, the intention is to level out the existing surfaces on Sunday, 11 September and provide a new layer of surfacing by Monday evening, 12 September.
The final surfacing will be completed over the following weekend. During the intervening days preparation works to manholes and gullies and kerbing work will take place. All work should be completed by Monday, 19 September.
Dog Lane Car park will be remain open throughout the duration of the works, other than during short term works across the entrance.
Significant work of this type is bound to cause some inconvenience but the Highways department and the contractor will do everything they can to minimise the disruption.
The council would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience and thank people for their patience whilst this much anticipated work takes place.
