Swansea College Access to Law student Samuel Martin recently scooped the 2010 Swansea County Learner of the Year Award.
Samuel attended the special awards ceremony at the Coal Exchange, Cardiff, with his lecturer Mandy Wyn Davies, who originally nominated him.
“Samuel is an inspiration, a student with a wonderful attitude towards his work and his fellow students,” says Mandy. “His outlook on life – even when faced with problems – is totally positive. In addition, he is always 100% focused on his studies and has achieved Distinction grades across the board.”
Samuel is now heading to Swansea University to study Law.
“It was a great pleasure to be nominated and I’m dedicating my award to Mandy, because she made everything possible,” he says.
