Santa’s Grotto at Cardiff Castle

Santa’s Grotto at Cardiff Castle has proved to be such a success story that everyone is strongly advised to book their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

This is the first year that the Grotto has been open at weekends and an unprecedented number of people have already been to visit Santa. With Christmas fast approaching and the school holidays almost here, it is going to be a bumper time and it is sure to get even busier at Santa’s Grotto. To be sure of seeing Santa, the advice is to pre-book your tickets on 029 2087 8100.

Councillor Nigel Howells, the Executive Member for Sport, Leisure and Culture said, “The demand for this year’s events at the Castle has been exceptional. The Victorian Christmas Tours have now sold out and the advice is to get your tickets in advance for Santa’s Grotto.”

The Grotto is magical, housed in the Black Tower, one of the oldest and most historic parts of the Castle.  With presents stacked to the ceiling, Victorian toys on display, Santa will be waiting by the fireplace in his comfy armchair with time to chat and a present for every child.
