This Friday, one lucky band or solo artist will bring home a Christmas present which rivals anything a fat man with a pack of magic elves could ever offer.
Competing for a week’s studio time working with top record producer Paul Durrant, as well as a professional photo shoot and personalised website design, the five finalists – voted by the public at CLIConline.co.uk, the website for young people in Wales – will battle it out in front of a live audience and panel of industry professionals, who will choose an overall winner.
CLIC Battle of the Bands launched in September to support and promote young talent. Working closely with experts from many areas of the music industry – ranging from producers to design and promotion teams – their aim is to present young musicians with an opportunity to get heard, be recognised and receive valuable advice and feedback from people in the know.
CLIConline is an information, news and advice channel for young people in Wales. They will hold an annual Wales-wide search for the best young unsigned band, performer or producer, open to all Welsh musicians aged between 11 and 25.
CLIC Battle of the Bands: The Final will take place on Friday 27th November at EVi (Ebbw Vale Institute). The show will run from 7pm – 10:30pm, and tickets cost £1.50. All proceeds go towards covering transport costs for the bands and their supporters.
People of all ages are invited. The event is strictly non-alcohol.
