The search for a missing female kayaker has been called off this evening after the body of a woman was found in the sea off the Llyn Peninsular.
Porthdinllaen and Holyhead RNLI all-weather lifeboats were launched around midday this afternoon (Tuesday) to assist two helicopters from RAF Valley, the North Wales Police helicopter and 3 Coastguard Rescue Teams after a red Avocet kayak was found on Porthdinllaen beach earlier today.
The red kayak was similar to the one used by Elizabeth Ashbee who has been missing since Sunday afternoon.
