There will be seasonal fun in Corwen this half tem holiday, with an activity-packed event held in the town’s Sports Pavillion.
The “Green Halloween” day will run on Wednesday 26th October from 11 am to 3 pm and includes willow web weaving, bat box making, creating paper lanterns and lots of other seasonal crafts. Children will be invited to “bob” for an apple snack, and to decorate a ginger bread bat before polishing it off. A seasonal lunch will be provided.
The event is being run by Denbighshire Countryside Service and the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and is completely free.
Ros Stockdale of Denbighshire Countryside Service saysL “The Countryside Service manages a variety of beautiful sites in and around Corwen, and this year we will be holding lots of events to encourage people to enjoy and learn more about them.
“We’ve recently been awarded a Community Engagement Award from the Countryside Council for Wales, and this is the first event we’ve held, but there will be plenty of practical activities in the future to get involved in, both with ourselves and BTCV.
Alex Fairclough of BTCV said: “There’ll be lots of activities for children and adults at the Green Halloween Event, but we really want to meet people from all walks of life, so we hope that everyone will feel happy to come along and see what’s going on”
