John Puzey, director of Shelter Cymru, said:
“Our main concern throughout the election campaign has been that the Housing LCO doesn’t end up getting kicked into the long grass. We urgently need to have greater and more consistent powers over housing devolved so we can ensure that everyone in Wales has the right to a decent home.
“Whatever happens over the next few days, and whatever party forms the UK government, we will continue to lobby hard for the Welsh Government to have the powers to effectively deliver housing, regeneration and homelessness support services for the people of Wales.
“We also urge the Welsh Government, regardless of what happens in Westminster, to prioritise affordable housing and protect the homelessness budget.”
