Shuttle buses on the road

Flintshire’s new Shuttle + bus services which have recently taken to the roads of Flintshire have received the thumbs up from passengers.

Featuring cafe-style interiors, incorporating luxurious leather seating and full air conditioning, they mark a step change in bus travel.

Shuttle + links Mold and Buckley with Queensferry, Deeside Industrial Park, Cheshire Oaks and Ellesmere Port up to every 30 minutes at busy times. This allows residents of both Mold & Buckley the opportunity to use the service to travel to where they work on Deeside Park, something Deeside and Flint residents have enjoyed for a number of years.

Launching the bus service in Mold, Councillor Tony Sharps, Deputy Leader of

Flintshire County Council stated, “You could say that Christmas has arrived early as these buses did not cost the Flintshire council tax payer a penny. They stood at Alltami while the routes for Deeside, Ellesmere Port and Chester were finalised. We are grateful to Taith, the North Wales transport consortium, for allocating these buses to Flintshire. The availability of these buses represents a major boost for passengers and potential bus users alike. Quite unlike any of the buses used on this service before, they represent a major step change in quality and I would urge as many people as possible to give them a try.”

Shuttle + is operated by GHA Coaches with financial assistance from both Flintshire County Council and Cheshire West & Chester Council. Further information and bus times can be obtained by telephoning (01352) 704035.
