Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor Councillor Robert Smith got up to thank charity bed pushers raising money for a charity he has made one of his good causes this year.
More than 50 people took part in the first-ever Temple Bar walk from Penderyn to Aberaman to raise money for Diabetes UK (Cymru).
The event, organised by local diabetes-sufferer Laura Banyard, was a huge success as sun bathed walkers trekking from the Red Lion in Penderyn to the Temple Bar pub inAberaman.
Walkers, many in fancy dress, then raised even more cash with an auction at the Temple Bar.
