Businesses offering accommodation to tourists visiting Gwynedd in 2010 are being urged to take advantage of the opportunity to advertise in the area’s main tourism marketing tools – the Snowdonia Mountains and Coast brochure and the recently launched new website www.visitsnowdonia.info
Produced in partnership by Gwynedd Council and Conwy County Borough Council, the brochures aims to attract visitors to the area for a holiday, short break or a day out.
At least 120,000 copies of the brochure will be produced and distributed to tourists through undertaking marketing and advertising campaigns in partnership with Visit Wales and the Regional Tourism Partnerships.
Councillor Dewi Lewis, who leads on Development on Gwynedd Council said:
“This is a wonderful opportunity for Gwynedd’s businesses to display the variety of services they have to offer. Businesses will be able to place their details on the Snowdonia Mountains and Coast new website and it is important that they make the most of this opportunity to promote Snowdonia as a popular tourist destination.”
Since 2005 over 350,000 brochures have been sent out via requests through the Visit Wales marketing campaigns which generated additional spend worth £55m to the area.
