The Denbighshire Local Service Board (LSB) is launching The Big Plan.
So what is this? Every council has to produce, by law, four plans – a Community Strategy, a Health, Social Care & Well-Being Strategy, a Children & Young People’s Plan and a Community Safety Plan.
Rather than having four separate plans, Denbighshire is bringing them all together to form one over-arching plan.
Denbighshire Local Service Board is responsible for The Big Plan. The LSB is made up of all the organisations in the county who run services for the people of Denbighshire (including the county council, the health board, police, colleges, fire service and Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council). The LSB wants to make sure that all the organisations work well together to make the services better for the people who use them.
Leader of Denbighshire County Council and Chair of the LSB, Cllr Hugh Evans said, “We believe there will be significant added value by working in partnership. We know that tough decisions will have to be made, so the Big Plan will concentrate on some key outcomes that will make a difference to the residents of Denbighshire”.
You can view The Big Plan by clicking on the link on the home page of Denbighshire’s website www.denbighshire.gov.uk. Alternatively you can request a copy from the Partnerships and Communities Team on 01824 712647 or e-mail: [email protected].
Let us know if you think we have got it right so far. Fill in ‘The Big Plan’ postcards which will be available at all libraries, leisure centres, One Stop Shops and main council offices from Wednesday 10 November and send them back to the Partnerships and Communities Team by FREEPOST before 30 January 2011.
We will let you know what most people have told us they would like to see happen through the council’s County Voice and website.
