Television drama fans in Llandeilo, Bangor and Brecon will be given a unique opportunity to preview the first episode of S4C’s brand new series, Alys, days before it is broadcast on the Welsh language Channel.
Alys is the latest offering from award-winning writer Siwan Jones from Llandeilo and it’s a story about a single mother who will do almost anything to see her young son realise his dream of becoming an astronaut.
The preview evenings will take place at Llandeilo Civic Hall at 19:30 on Monday, 17 January. Similar evenings are being offered at Bangor University’s JP Hall (18 January) and Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon on 21 January.
Following the screening, the audience can discuss the drama and ask questions to the panel connected with the series, including writer Siwan Jones, producer Paul Jones and Amman Valley actress Sara Lloyd Gregory, who plays the title role.
Siwan Jones won the prestigious Rose d’Or award for her last S4C series Con Passionate. Alys will be broadcast every Sunday evening on S4C from 23 January at 21:00. English subtitles also available.
