Look out for ghosts, witches and wizards in Blaenavon on Saturday 30 October, all making their way to the Halloween Fright Night, for an evening of scary entertainment at the Blaenavon Workmen’s Hall, from 5pm until 8pm.
Children and adults of all ages are invited to dress up in their scariest costumes and come along to the Halloween Fright Night, with plenty of spooky entertainment for everyone including a Halloween Magic Show, Spooky Stories, a Witches Kitchen and Face Painting. Finish off your evening with Dracula’s Disco or watch a scary film in the cinema. Admission is £1.
If you are 11 years and under you can use your creative skills to enter the Halloween Picture Competition. Create a scary ‘Halloween’ picture of your choice and win a £10 WHSmith voucher. To enter, post your picture to the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre, Church Road, Blaenavon, NP4 9AS, no later than Friday 22 October.
You can also join in the Halloween Workshops at the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre during October half-term week. From Tuesday 26 October – Sunday 31 October, children under 12 are welcome to come along to for a number of activities including making ghoulish creations out of recycled materials, designing halloween inspired chocolates and a creepy crawly nature walk. Storytellers Anne Lister and Dave Morden will also be there with spooky tales to get you in to the halloween mood (suitable for older children and adults only). Activities are free and no booking is required but first come, first serve.
