A Denbighshire Welsh medium primary school is celebrating its recent national sporting successes.
Ysgol Twm o’r Nant in Denbigh competed in the Urdd National Swimming Gala in Cardiff with these spectacular results:
- 1st – Madlen Cooper – Freestyle
- 2nd – Madlen Cooper Butterfly
- 3rd – Boys year 5 and 6 freestyle relay
Head teacher, Geraint Davies, said, “This competition was throughout the whole of Wales. Two teachers and parents gave their time over the weekend to accompany the pupils down to Cardiff.”
In addition to this, on 16 February, 8 children went down to Aberystwyth to take part in the National Gymnastics competition. They came 3rd throughout of Wales
