On Wednesday 27 July 27 at 2.15pm, while volunteer lifeboat crew members were carrying out engine trials on St David’s RNLI all-weather lifeboat Garside, they were tasked to go and search for two missing children.
Parents of the two children had reported them missing to RNLI lifeguards at Whitesands Beach. It was believed that they may have entered the sea but, as the search began, they were found safe and well on the beach.
At this time the lifeboat was stood down to carry on their engine trials.
