Staff and students from the Glamorgan Business School came together on Monday (1st March 2010) to join in the national celebrations of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales.
The celebration held in and around the Business School drew upon all things that are Welsh including poetry, music, literature and food.
Both staff and students organised themed displays and food stands allowing attendees at the event to sample some of the finest selection of home made welsh produce with many members of staff having their culinary skills put to the test.
As crowds began to gather outside the Business School in the sunshine, they were treated to some light entertainment from guest singers Kirsten Offer and Paul Peachey with readings also being delivered to the crowd by academics – Marlene Davies, Liz Parkes and Bob Morgan.
The well supported event was part of the Glamorgan Business School’s ‘Glam Biz Gift’ campaign with all donations and monies raised during this special day going to the Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity.
