A new style of neighbourhood committee meeting is being piloted in St Julians this month as the council seeks to improve the way it communicates and engages with residents.
Representatives from the city contact centre and ward members will be available to discuss general queries between 6pm and 6.30pm on Thursday, 11 November.
Residents will be allocated a reference number for any enquiries which are logged so they can check on progress.
Police matters will be dealt with between 6.30pm to 7pm when there will be an update on the PACT programme, a summary of neighbourhood policing news and a chance to ask questions about neighbourhood policing matters.
Information will be given about the Ryder Cup legacy for Newport between 7pm and 7.15pm and strategic traffic issues within the ward from 7.15pm to 7.30pm.
The meeting is being held at St Julius and Aaron’s Church Hall, Heather Road.
