Police in Swansea are appealing for information following a suspicious incident involving an 11 year old boy which happened on Brynafon Road and Blackhill Road in Gorseinon at 2pm on Saturday 15th March.
The boy was walking along Frampton Road in the direction of the NISA shop where he had planned to meet friends, when he was approached by a man who is described as white, clean shaven, in his late thirties, early fourties, of thin build, with dark hair, who tried to force him into a car.
He was wearing a dark grey tracksuit, with red stripes on the sides and was also believed to be carrying a tablet device.
The vehicle used by the suspect is thought to be a small silver/light blue Volkswagen, possibly a Golf or Golf Plus.
DI Darren George of Swansea CID said:
“This was a frightening experience for the young boy concerned. He was approached by a man on a Saturday afternoon in a particularly busy area of Gorseinon. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at or around 2pm on Saturday March 15th 2014, who may have seen what has been described as a small light coloured vehicle, possibly a VW Golf to please contact the police.”
“I am asking members of the public to familiarise themselves with the description of this man and again to contact the police if they can offer any information to assist the investigation”.
