Swansea murder: missing training shoes appeal

South Wales Police in Swansea are continuing to investigate the death of 26 year old David Alan Michael Williams, whose body was found outside the Iceland supermarket in St David’s square during the early hours of Friday 7th January.

At  the time of his death, officers believe David was wearing  a pair of training shoes which are described as White Adidas make, secured with Velcro fold over straps, and which to date have not been recovered.

Officers are appealing to the public for information to help trace the missing training shoes.

Police have released a manufactures photograph of a similar pair of shoes.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Benson- Davison from the South Wales Police Major Investigation team said “Our investigations are continuing into David’s death and I would like to thank the community of Swansea for coming forward and providing us with information which has been invaluable.”

“We believe that at the time of his death David was wearing a pair of white Adidas training shoes which to date have not been recovered.”

“David or “little Dai” as he was known, would wear these shoes on a daily basis, and we are particularly keen for any information as to their whereabouts as they could play a significant part in our investigation”

“We are appealing to the public of Swansea, in particular the homeless community and anyone who knew David, who can assist us in locating these shoes or has any other relevant information which could help the investigation to come forward”

Two men aged 33 and 37 have been charged with David’s murder, whilst a third man aged 31 has been charged with assisting an offender. All three have been remanded in custody.
