Pembrokeshire’s top young swimmers took part in a special skills camp at the weekend.
Thirteen of the best swimmers from five County clubs pooled their talent at Crymych Leisure Centre on Sunday.
The training session was the second of three special winter skills camps organised by Pembrokeshire Leisure – Pembrokeshire County Council’s leisure arm.
The nine to 12 year-olds were put through their paces by Paul Dowey, Pembrokeshire Leisure’s swimming development coach
“The skills camps are designed for those youngsters who are already swimming competitively with their clubs,” said Paul Dowey.
“They give them an opportunity to maintain progress throughout the winter months – as well as learn new skills, improve their strokes and train together as a team.”
Youngsters were selected from five member clubs of Pembrokeshire County swimming – Haverfordwest Seals, Milford Haven Tigers, Pembroke & District, Tenby Dolphins and Fishguard Flyers.
The next winter camp will take place on 27th February at Pembroke pool.
