Youngsters at a Denbighshire school will be sampling a taste of Asian culture and traditions during a special themed day being held next week.
The Asia Day workshops will be held at Ysgol Hiraddug, Dyserth on Thursday, 27 January when a Chinese musician and dancer and a Thai chef will share their skills with pupils.
Activities will include sessions on Chinese music and dance, Thai cooking, Thai art, origami, balloon making and ribbon weaving.
Headteacher, Gary Hulson, said: “Learning about new cultures and traditions is very much part of the curriculum and we want our pupils to embrace other cultures, with the aim of making connections with other schools across the world.
“With the Chinese New Year fast approaching, we decided to follow an Asian theme and what better way of learning than by having a day packed with fun activities that the whole school can get involved in, with a strong emphasis on enhancing our pupils’ knowledge whilst gaining new skills”.
