The search is on for Wales’ favourite dish to share.
Older people’s charity Age Cymru is asking the public to nominate the food they most like to share ahead of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June.
Age Cymru’s Meryl Randell Jones explains:
“It’s the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June and the Big Jubilee Lunch will bring people together for a few hours of community, friendship, fun and to share a bite to eat to celebrate the Jubilee.
“In the spirit of the Big Jubilee Lunch, we’re asking the people of Wales to tell us their dish to share with their – with their families, friends or work colleagues.
“So get online, get tweeting and send us your nominations for your favourite dish to share using the hashtag #dishtoshare.
“We’ll be announcing the most popular dishes to share in May.”
Age Cymru is a lead charity partner in Wales for the Big Jubilee Lunch.
It is giving away free packs to anyone who wants to hold their own event and help raise a few pounds for Age Cymru in the process.
The Big Jubilee Lunch is a very simple idea from the Eden Project and in 2012, the event will proudly support The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on Sunday 3 June and will be called The Big Jubilee Lunch.
