The Feeling have the Adrimal Cardiff Big Weekend all ‘Sewn’ Up

Brit nominees and chart toppers The Feeling will this year headline The Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend

The Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend will this year take place on 5- 7 of August and along with The Feeling, Brit Pop faves Dodgy will ensure they’re Good Enough for the crowds and Ivor Novello nominated singer/songwriter Nerina Pallot will also perform.

As well as the Big Gig* Winner there will also be plenty of homegrown talent performing at The Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend.

The Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend takes place in the heart of the city at the Civic Centre and features three packed days of free music and top entertainment.

On Friday, August 5 , Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend have once again teamed up with the Swn Festival, to provide the cream of the latest crop of Welsh bands. Attack! Attack and OK will be providing support for a top Welsh headliner to be announced.

Saturday’s entertainment kicks off with the popular MAS Carnival when dancers and colourful costumes will fill the streets of Cardiff as the carnival parades across the city. Over on the Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend stage the line-up will feature an eclectic mix of artists from across the globe such as Congalese band Zong Zing and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble from Chicargo.

The winner of the Big Gig* will open the show on Sunday 7 , before headline act The Feeling perform tracks from their new album Together We Are Made along with their classic hits.

A firework finale, will light the city sky each night of the Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend and all the fun of the fair can also be enjoyed, with traditional fairground attractions available to entertain the young and the young at heart.

Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Nigel Howells, said: “Once again we have produced a great line up of music for people to enjoy for free. The whole weekend provides a great mix of new music with established artists. This is why the Admiral Cardiff Big Weekend continues to be a firm favourite in the Cardiff Festival Calendar.”
